sunday afternoon in yoeju

to celebrate chusoek, harvest (thanksgiving) day in korea, i spent sunday with my family: my aunts and daughters and their daughters' sons and daughters, and my grandma. it was a very casual and warm extended family gathering. it was nice to re-visit the home that my mother was raised in and to imagine what life might have been like for her, what is was like for every one of the strong women folk in my family.
